Seven letters (20 p.) from a dairy farmer to his mother concerning his business in Sacramento during the Gold Rush and the
great flood and fire in Sacramento. He also responds to the news he has received from her regarging the health and financial
situation of family and friends back home. Two of the letters to his mother have a mailing address to a Mr. Merrick Ainsworth
in East Calais. Also includes typescript transcriptions of each letter (13 p.).
